Default Scarlette is BACK!

Got the car back from the shop on Thursday afternoon. SOOO happy that she is back. It took 'em 2 months to fix. Total bill paid by insurance was just over $23k. I now have three new wheels and tires, all new sheet metal up front, new paint, (new everything body wise forward of the firewall). New DS sub-frame rail, new structural metal forward of the radiator. New ancillary stuff like washer fluid bottle etc. Had to replace the pass rear axle shaft, brake rotor and caliper. (Why? B/c the shop dropped the car off of the alignment lift, or at least that is what I suspect.) ALL new passenger front suspension (everything). AND....new air-bag, air-bag modules and ECU.

All in all, I'm happy that she is back. I'm still ticked off that it took so long and that there were so many delays and "we need a few more days b/c Yada Yada is now broken". She stops and steers straight and is as strong as ever.

This morning, I was feeling a little froggy and since it was nice outside I decided to take the stock mufflers off. WOW! It's LOUD and it growls now. I like it. My neighbours however do NOT like it. LOL. It's just a tad on the "too loud" side so if someone knows of an axle-back muffler that is just a tad quieter than no mufflers, that would be great.

I'm happy as hell now. Scarlette is back in my possession and I don't have to walk 3 miles each way to goto school every morning now.

Congrats... I saw the pics you posted of the carnage in another thread and I'm glad the body shop was able to get her back into pre-accident form...

I'm not too keen on dropping $600+ on axlebacks. I think I'm going to just have my stock cans cut off and re-install 'em.

Pypes muffler deletes or the equivalent. Cheap and " a tad quieter" than loud. At least at idle. The one guy I've heard said there was drone though.

I don't have drone w/ the axle backs removed. I REALLY love the sound. I really think I'm just going to pay the $50 and have the cans cut off of the stock axle backs.
