Question on cylinder head temp gauge
One of the digital gauges on the 2013 is cylinder head temp. I知 in Texas and have seen it go to 230 F. My water temp gauge does not indicate any issue. I知 new to the cylinder head temp, anyone know what the max I would want to see on this gauge? I searched for an anwer but the best I did not see any thread that stated how high that temp can go before there is an issue.
Thanks

If you engage engineering test mode (I'm assuming that is what you are using) there should be a digital equivalent of the head temperature. The digital gauge ranges from a value (not temperature) of 0-255. It will say something like 170. Scale that and it will tell you the maximum temperature the sensor is capable of reporting, which should give you an idea about when you should start worrying.
This is what the warranty is for too. Though if your engine failed from an overheated head then you would be the first, and judging by the texas mile videos there are a lot of other mustangs that are working just fine. Don't worry about it.

Hes not in test mode. The 2013 has a full array of digital gauges in the dash, its really. As for the question .. as long as your engine temp is fine dont worry about cylinder head temp. And as long as you are stock. You'll be fine
