Default 2011 GT with Track Pack - Which rear brakes do I use?

So I have a 2011 GT with the Brembo track pack and I am due for rear brakes. What I don't know is what brakes to use for replacement. Do I just use 2011 Shelby 500 rear brake pads? thanks in advance!

Anthony

The Ford Genuine Parts site knows for sure, but I believe that the 2011 Brembo GT is spec'd for regular Mustang GT rear brake pads, which are cheaper than the GT500 rears. If you're going with aftermarket pads, then the sky's the limit because the rears are the same pad outline and size from the V6 on up to the GT500 and Boss 302.

Yes I will be going aftermarket. So the rear brake pads are the same for all 2011 mustangs across the board? Or did I read that wrong??

That is correct. Only the front Brembo's are "special".. the rears are no different than what's on a base mustang. If you dont mind me asking, how many miles do you have on the car?

Never really thought about it. I do a lot of stop and go and from what my buddy told me that works at Ford its common to need rears before fronts on the track pack from what he has seen so far..
