Why do you need to spin the tires? Are you a teenager?

Get some all season tires, they'll spin.

Nope , not a teenager.
I am not wanting to do nothing but spin the tires.
But it is something about having a so called muscle car and knowing you can if you want. That is what a muscle car is suppose to be able to do besides just going fast.

Mine doesn't break loose in 1st until 5k, but its a manual. Go find an empty unobserved parking lot and practice, you'll figure out what exactly you have to do. It is not something that these cars do on command via the gas pedal, Ford had to make it streetable and safe so it wouldn't do a 180 every time you got on it in normal operation, not just relying on TC.

It's pretty simple, the autos need a tune. It's a night and day difference.

Like other's stated; odd thread, but I have driven a stang with good traction and not good traction.

My 2007 sucked - burned in first no matter what and second was always sideways. Of course, when driven really hard.

My 2012 AWESOME - The ability to get traction with a extra 100 HP gives me a hard on. I think a lot has to do with the OE tires that come with the brembo package.

I've turned off advance track and traction control and I did not like it. Dump second at 45 and the rear just went tailing. (Cool day, hot day = great traction.) I have not turned both off since, but I do keep the traction control off at all times.

I don’t really see a automatic spinning much unless you hold that little brake for second. It’s like dumping the clutch at 3 or 4k in a manual.

Hey guys!

We do TUNE AUTO 5.0s! We've done a few already with great results. Dan must have been thinking of the auto v6 cars, which we're coming out with tunes for in two weeks!

I just wanted to make that clear in case you anyone wanted to get rolling with a Bama tune on their auto 5.0.

Also, one of the nicest behaviors of the 11-13 GT's is the improved suspension! We seem to be able to plant the power to the ground much easier with a stock 11-13 cars then previous years. However, this might change slightly if you're banging gears with a Bama tune haha.

Hit me up if any of you guys have questions or if you want to talk to a Bama Specialists directly, their contact info is in my sig!

Shane

I'm confused as to when you guys say turn off track and advance track. I press the button by the shifter, I don't hold it. Am I doing something wrong? My car just chirps between gears and I have the tires with the brembos on a 2013

yeah that isn't fully disengaged, you'll see the difference when you hold it down for 5 secs, i forgot what it is, i think you get another light on. but that completely disengage the system, the other way it will still engage, just not till later than normal. even with advance trac on my rear can start moving on me at the top of 1st, it's not a 100% stops you from peeling out deal.

I'm defitnetly going to try that out, the car at times did feel like it was slowing itself down at times, I wonder if that is the cause

Holding the button down for 7-10 seconds shuts off everything. You do know it explains this in full detail in your owners manual?
