2013 gt,auto,,has anyone changed the gears yet
I am going to do a tune eventually. Maybe a CAI, undecided about that cause of the water issue. BUT,,best performance enhancer would be gears.
Has anyone, that has a 2013 auto, changed gears and if so, what ones and what do you think about the difference?
How much did it affect your mpg?

I'm assuming you mean warranty issues. There should not be any differences between the gear set on any 8.8 differentials. I have a 2011 automatic with 3.73 gears. I'm happy with this choice. I still need a 3500 RPM stall converter for lockup at a higher stall speed than OEM, but it's not necessary if you keep your HP below 500 RWHP, and do not plan on tracking your car.

2011-2013, autos are the same.
It partly depends on your goals with the car. I basically wanted the fastest acceleration within reason, so 4.10s is what I did and I like them. MPGs went down quite a bit, I now get 21mpg highway down from 25mpg, In town depends on my driving but generally 17mpg. and my average is 19mpg when I do some mixed driving, i used to get 22 average.
I know someone else who switched to 3.31s, and he did it for the best possible 1/4 mile times. He is running around 11.5s and most guys with 4.10s are running 11.7s. with the same mods that I have. The reason being he ends the 1/4 in 4th gear, I'm just getting into 5th gear when I cross. So a better one for the quarter would be 4.56s, i'd be worried that would have been just too much for a regularly driven highway car though.
I don't mind the 4.10s at all, I think it's pretty rare for someone to get 4.10s and dislike them, other than the mpg loss.

i have a 2011 with an auto. Put 3.55 in and the car pulls hard and tires lock up. I am still getting 25 to 26 on highway if I drive under 65. I have been avg. 23 with hard driving. I wonder how you can keep 3.73 or higher without just spinning.
