Ford Racing GT500 Axle Back Mufflers-Popping

I really like the sound of my GT500 mufflers on my 2012 GT Premium. I replaced the OEM axle backs with them four months ago. They appear to have gotten louder over that time, but I don't mind that.

However, I do not like the 'popping' sound they make on deceleration. IMO it really detracts from an otherwise great sound.

Anyone else with GT500 axle backs on a new 5.0 experiencing this also?

Yep....that is one of the traits of the GT500s on our GT's.....does not bother me. I even removed the resonators also. Love the sound.

I have it as well...and the resonators removed. I'm not a big fan of it. But it's liveable and considering that these AB's only cost me around $275.

Funny, the pop/gurgle is my favorite part. I have my resonators removed as well. Great tone, wish it were louder, but given there is zero drone I'm sticking with the setup...
