Love my Nitto 555's, although with the power your making you might want to look into the 555R extreme's, they are a drag radial.

I too am getting a set of tires.... I was between the Bridgstones and Michelins, and decided to get the Michelins. They are about the same price, same life expectancy, but the Michelins do weigh 5 pounds apiece less. Also rated a little higher in reviews such as Tire Rack.

I am at 8K and I know time is coming soon. Does anyone have pics of 285 or 275 rears? I too am undecided.

I will be doing this also, so I am watching. Either 275 or 285 will look great and keeping 255 up front is a good idea. I do drive alot so I need all weather tires.

I looked at those - they don't come in 19" size.

When mine get smooth, very soon, I am going to install the General G-MAX AS-03 all-season tires w/ a tread wear rating of 480, versus the factory 220 of the Pirelli P Zero tires.

I have General G-Max AS-03 tires and have been pleased with them so far. I have about 10k miles on them and they are holding up well. I had to get all season when I built my SC home as the temps get down in the 20's. Traction is better than the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar summer tires I had on it before, but my rear tires are wider and taller than the Goodyears which I'm sure helped.

I chose these tires as they were one of only a few brands of all season tires that had my size tires... 255/45/18 and 275/40/19.

It depends on what your using this for, the nitto nt05R is AMAZING for drag racing, but it has a 8-10k mile life depending on how often you go race. Cons is that it SUCKS during rain.
The super sports are AMAZING tires, they are pricey but are completely worth it. It's what all the viper guys that come up to my discount tire put on their cars. It's amazing in rain and dry traction with a good tread life. Also if you heat them up they stick. Not as good as a drag radial, but they will last longer than a radial and have better wet traction.

Also jdmcbride the tread ratings can't be compared between companies because they differ. Now a 120 tread rating won't last long obviously but outside that look at the warrenty for how long the tire last
