I would contact your tuner. Sounds like your tune could be off.

welll I had the same problem stock and tuned. Pretty sure it has something to do with the clutch. I am getting a stage 4 clutch installed on the 3rd and will let you know if it fixes my issue.

Could you be experiencing some heat soak? How much time is passing between the good pass and the bad pass?

Heat soak is possible, however I am not one to hot lap my car. Their is usually a good 30 mins to an hour between runs.

yeah, could be pulling timing from knock sensors if it's getting hot and getting some detonation.

I have never had the issue you guys are describing, but I have an automatic, so maybe clutch issue.

People with slicks are launching these cars at 6K.

Sorta more like this. I think heat soak is your primary culprit. These ECUs pull a ton of timing when the engine gets hot. The high compression causes that.

That could be the reason. But he said it was fine with street tires. And he did mention that he could only get a 2.0 60' time with DRs and that is way too slow if that is on his first pass. Sounds a lot like bogging down because the rpms aren't high enough. You're right. That stock clutch isn't going to hold up. A cover for the rear is a good ideal for hard launches too. Just throwing out some thoughts.
