Anyone else experienced this? My car has done it twice now on two separate days. Cold start, car in first, ease off the clutch to get going, and the shifter pops out of first gear. Makes a grinding noise like a missed shift. Guessing im gonna have to take it in to a dealer... dammit.
BTW im at 4200 miles.

I've had that on my last car in 5th every now & then. It was worn synchros IIRC. I would definitely have the dealer look at it as this is not normal at 4200 miles. As a wild guess I would suspect bad synchros there.

I figured it was a synchro problem too... was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. gonna drop ot off at the ford place in the morning.

So an update... dealer kept it all day, could not replicate the problem. Hasnt done it with me anymore either, hope fully it wont happen anymore.

Might be kind of a stupid question but do you think maybe you didn't put it all the way in first those two times? It's happened to me once before when I was tired as heck getting ready to drive to work. Grinds and pops.

Ive started questioning myself about that actually... hopefully it was "user error"

My 2012 gt had done that on a few occasions. I am new to manual transmissions so I assumed it was user error, but it may have been the tranny.
