2013 Mustang GT Premium, 19" Pirelli wheels, Auto Trans., every imaginable electronic goodie including the GPS package. No Brembo No Recaro. It is a Shaker stereo, but not the one with the sub-woofer in the trunk. Two A/C auto zones, heated seats, that's about it.
My question is that the total sticker is forty-one thousand ($41,000). How much off the sticker amount can I expect the dealer to cut off when dealing on a GT in the 40K range? If I offer them $37,000, does that have a reasonable chance of being accepted, or will they laugh me out of the showroom?
Thanks

From what you said I put all the electronic goodies in it so invoice is close to 38,470. so paying 39,000 would probably be about as good as you can hope to do, 40k is more normal though.. There isn't a huge markup on cars like there used to be 10-15 years ago.

I had a 2011 V6 base auto. That car was no slouch for a six. But, it was a base model. I paid $23,500 on a $24,500 sticker. It only had the spoiler package. I put an Airaid intake on it and I loved the added sound. Like the 5.0, it lagged a little till 3k RPM. I drive 85% highway and the computer would tell me I was getting 34 MPG at 70 MPH on flat ground for 20 miles.
I traded it in for a 2012 GT Premium 6MT. I paid $32,500 on a $35,900 sticker. It had the 19" wheels and the comfort package. I have added the Rousch intake and GT500 axle-backs. Love the combo so far. On the same drive I take everyday like the V6. The comp tells me 27.5 mpg. Just went 330 miles on 13 gallons of fuel last week. I liked the V6, but I LOVE THE 5.0 ! I was worried about the difference in gas mileage in the beginning. But, now I don't care and the overall cost is small in my opinion. I have sync, shaker and all of the doo hickeys now on the Premium. Did I mention it was a 5.0 ? Well worth the extra $9k for me. Plus, I am almost positive that in a few years this will go in the garage and I will be buying a DD. Unless, I can afford a GT500 by then.
Get the 5.0!
