Newbie
Just wanted to say hello to everyone here and I look forward to reading about the new GTs and finding info on mods, DIYs and repairs here.
I just purchased a 2012 GT Premium convertible with the 400A package, 19" alloys, Nav, and convenience package in Kona Blue with Charcoal interior. Loving the GT in stock form and not sure I want to perform any mods but is there anything I should consider?
If anyone has tips on things I should look out for as a new owner and new to Ford the help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Paul

Welcome. Don't feel bad if you choose to stay stock for a while, the car is fantastic even stock. If you plan on doing any kind of racing then there is usually a fairly easy path choice for mods when it comes to power, drivetrain and suspension.
I'm pretty sure I have the highest mileage 5.0 around here at 42950+ miles. So far there hasn't been any real issues. Only problem was my starter went bad around 15000 miles but that was easily covered by warranty. Other than that enjoy the ride.

I'm back
Resurrecting my own old thread here but it's taken me this long to respond. The 2012 I bought had some paint issues and after waiting a week for an appointment the dealer discovered it had been in an accident and not disclosed by the stealership where they transferred it in from. The dealer took it back with no burden to me so the only harm was to my confidence as a buyer.
The mustang is a second car for me so it took me a while to come back around full circle to what I already knew was the best bang for the buck. Yesterday I purchased a new, 2013 GT premium convertible replacement. I went with a candy red with charcoal interior this time. I also settled for the auto transmission. I love controlling what gear I'm in but after testing an auto I decided it shifts way faster then I can! I also got the brembo break package, back up sensors & camera but no electronics package this time around. I think I actually like the candy red better and even used the paint description to name her - "Candy".
Any tips for a new Mustang and new to Ford newbie are greatly appreciated!
