What times are you running? Weather conditions?

I had some really great air when I made these runs I think the DA was pretty close to sea level! It was getting down into the 30s though later in the night and traction started to become a real issue.

When it was 90 out and I ran completely stock I ran a 13.0@109-111

12.95 @ 116 without headers. My DA was probably similar, bout 75 degrees in NC. My launches suck, I've only been to the track twice so still trying to get the hang of it. That and 235 Pirellis suck for traction.

I'm running 12.5's @ 114 on a 285/45/19 with headers, O/R x-pipe, CAI, tune and 3.73 gears. I'm thinking I've got to much power for the crappy street tires, but to know you're running the same times with just a tune and axle-back kinda hurts my feelings lol. I don't power shift though, so I may be able to make up some time if I did, just don't want to put the car through that right now. FYI with 3.73 gears and my mods i cross the line without having to shift into fifth gear, the tack just turns red when I cross.

Clowe1965 with a 116mph trap speed you can defnitely get that car down to some low 12s! 235s are pretty rough though! lol I have the stock 255s which are actually pretty decent, they are just way too expensive!

CrzyHrs, powershifting makes a big difference! I wouldn't be suprised if you picked up 3mph and dropped your time to a 12 flat.

And driver mod definitely makes a difference! lol I swapped cars with my buddy the same day. I drove his Genesis Coupe and he did some runs in my Mustang. His best time was a 13.1@112 w/2.42 60'. His best 60' was a 2.25. He had a bit of trouble getting the launch down and I could tell his shifts were slow compared to mine.

*Edit* Also his first run he did not powershift and he trapped 109. I told him he could powershift... the car can take it lol and he trapped 112.

Correction, 114. I did have 116 earlier that day on a different slip.
2.3141 60'
5.8240 330'
8.6164 1/8 @89.64mph
12.9516 1/4 @114.3mph

Going again this weekend so hopefully I can get something a bit better. Hoping for 12.1-12.3.

With 3.73 first gear is useless and second wants to break loose after I break 5500 rpm! Am I flooring it too much or are the P zeros killing me that badly? My 0-60 is like 4.7 because I can't seem to stick first or second. Should I launch in second? What are you guys launching at with 3.73s?

Want to buy driver mod lol. I have never driven this much horse power so learning is occurring lol.

I have 3.31s and mine breaks free in second at high rpms. Tires rated for 30k+ treadlife suck for the track. Get some nittos, hypermotive performance has some good deals and awesome customer service.

You're launching at too high of an RPM. Try launching at 1800-2000rpm. You also have to baby 2nd gear a little at the shift. I leave TCS on or in "Sport Mode" at the track.

I too need some "driver mods". I told the G/F that I'm hitting the track this spring/summer a lot. (I'm also toying with the idea of spraying the car. I wanna break into 11's....then I'm happy.)

I agree with Ditty on the launch, I normally launch between 1800 and 2100, easing off the clutch and I don't floor it when I go into 2nd. Lower Control Arms will be one of my next mods, after tires and a MGW short throw.
