Do they sell just 3" mid pipes?
I'm looking for but haven't found just the mid pipes or whatever you'd call them in 3". After x-pipe to the rear. I want to keep my axle backs and already have x forward. The resonators neck down quit a bit and the already smallish 2.75 pipes probably don't need that.

They're called over axle pipes. Nobody sells just the pipes in 3" You have to buy the entire catback setup. The connections are different on some of them. For example Magnaflow uses a band clamp and Borla has a sort of ball joint with band clamp. Borla and JPC sell a 2.75" over axle pipe. These are the only two around that sell just the pipe without the resonator. 2.75" is not a restriction until you make real big power. You might want to note that some people have had rubbing issues with 3" over axle pipes on lowered vehicles.
FYI I have BBK long tube headers with the BBK 3" shorty x pipe. I just bought a Magnaflow 3" street axle back from someone who had the whole catback system. I'm taking it to a shop to have some custom 3" over axle pipes mandrel bent for me. Just ask around for a good muffler shop in your area that does mandrel bends. If you show up with cash and give them an offer they will usually give a lower price for the work. It pays to talk a bit and haggle.
