Vendors for CARB approved air intakes?
Sorry if the title is a tad bit misconstruing, but I've been looking high and low and can't seem to find any word on any sort of possible CARB approved air intake for the 5.0. Let a lone company even having CARB pending. What I'm wondering is if anyone has any information for upcoming products like so.

Well I guess that means none of them are safe for CA, 50% of them require a tune so that won't pass Smog no matter what. The other half don't even say that they are LEGAL at all, so I'm gonna guess NO.

If you dont plan to get a tune with the CAI, I dont know if I would worry about getting one. You could go with a Roush CAI since it does come from the factory like that or just get a K&N filter with your stock airbox.

I just smogged my car in California with a tune and CAI and it passed. It ran cleaner than the other cars they did. They said that the only stipulation was that the filter must have a serial number attached to it. I haven't actually looked up the regulations so don't take it for gospel.
FYI, mine is a JLT Series 3 with a Bama 91R tune.

Index of those parts that Cali has approved or provided a CARB certificate to.
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...es/amquery.php
You can look it up by Cert number of by mfg. If it's not on the list there are two possibilities - 1) the cert is pending (in which case it will tell you that) or 2) It's never been reviewed or was reviewed and rejected.
Regardless, the Mfg of the part in question should be able to tell you if their part is CARB approved or not. If it is, they should be able provide you the EO number which can then be verified by looking it up on the link above.
If they say it is but can't produce the number, then they don't know what they are talking about.
