Lower Control Arms

I just purchased the J&M Extreme Joint Rear Lower Control Arms, will I need to buy new bolts or is that only recommended by Ford? ive seen some people say some of the threads are a little rough when they pull the original bolts out but not bad enough you cant re-use them?

I just did this install myself last weekend but with BMR control arms. I used the stock bolts as they looked fine. Probably 500 miles since install no issues. Make sure to use lock tight just in case though! Man what a difference though! Huge improvement! Let me know what you think, only took an hour and 15 minutes taking my time!!

Which LT did you decide to go with? I'm stuck for now on modding, need to save some cash lol.

The factory manual primarily list the bolts for replacement because a lot of them have dry loc-tite for quick assembly in the factory. Just re-apply and you should be good. Though there are some instances when you need to replace the fasteners, like this. I've taken the struts out twice and this already happened.

Thanks for the info clowe, super smart as usual! Wow on that bent fastener! Dumb luck when you were tightening?

I went with the Doug Thorley LT's, they are just north of us in Corona, I paid $900 for the LT's and off road mid pipe. After the install I will post up pics and dyno results.

You have to call for the pricing. I drove up their and picked them up. they covered the taxes for a military discount.
