Default JLT Oil Catch Cans/Separator Cans for Coyotes

I recently did an oil change, just 400 miles ago, and put in fresh brand new synthetic oil, 8 quarts.
For those who don't remember, the Coyote requires 8 quarts instead of the 6quarts the outgoing 4.6L used.

As part of my oil change, I added JLT oil catch cans to my Coyote. One on the passenger side and another on the driver side.
In just 200 miles, I noticed a small amount of oil already accumulated in the passenger side catch can.
Is this normal for a Coyote?
See 6:24 in this vid I made:

From what I've read, I believe it is normal. Was there anything in the driver's side?

Yeah from multiple posts I have seen these engines accumulate a good amount of oil. You'll want to check it every couple months depending on how much you drive.

yup...normal. I empty mine about every 1500 miles to be safe...well just the passenger one needs emptied. I haven't had to empty the driver side.

Could you cheap out and not buy a driver side since it accumulates little compare to the passenger side?

I only have the passenger side catch can, as most ppl I know see little benefit from the driver's side one. I put it on not too long ago, still have yet to check it.

In short, yea you can just buy the passenger side one.
