Going from a 2011 v6 to a 2014 gt
I've been a long time mustang lover. First car was a 65 then to a 66 then to a 94gt then to a 97 cobra. Had some bad experiences with the Cobra and got away from the Mustang for awhile. I purchased a 2011 v6 vert last year and have enjoyed it. Well, what normally happens is I got the HP bug and have decided to order a 2014 gt vert from the factory. I am getting it with a manual. It seems that the transmission is hit or miss in the manual version, is that right? And I have been reading where people hate the shifter? What are the downfalls of the manual?

Ive been driving mine for about a month and normal driving it is very smooth. The main issue is when shifting from 2nd to 3rd at high rpms the shifter seems like it moves and doesnt go into third instead it hits a wall between 3rd and 5th. other than that i have had no problems with the tranny i acaully really like it.

I just got my Boss. I started my mustang search for a new GT (13-14) with all the options, track pack and 6 speed manual. I did A LOT of research on the two cars, and decided on the Boss for a few reasons. I did find that there were some complaints/ issues about shifting in the 6 speed manual GT. Almost all of the reviews seemed to say soemthing about it. It works fine, just doesnt like to be shifted fast and hard in a hurry. As stated above it seemed to not want to go in gear at times. Between that and the very close price between the two I went with the Boss, and it shifts just fine. But anyways, good luck on the purchase!
