Sudden Loss of cold AC....

Take it to a shop to have them evacuate the system before starting. otherwise you could have other issues on you hand..health issues..

Replace the AC receiver drier with the compressor also. those 2 always get replaced together.

take it back to the shop when your done and have them vacuum and recharge it! should be a pretty simple job!

You'll prob need to have a licensed AC tech drain the system-test it for leaks, and refill it when you are done.
I usually have it all done by a trusted shop, with a warranty. That way if there are any leaks later, I don't have to pay to have it drained and refilled a second time.
