Amsoil 10w-30 SS and an Amsoil filter. Nothing beats it for protection and this is from oil analysis reports not hear say. We have a large thread with test results going on SVT.

First, sorry for posting this in this section...definitely didn't know that there was a section specifically for oils and such. After finding that section, all my questions were answered about Amsoil and such. That being said, I found a place in town that carries Redline so I'm going to go with that since it is available. Going to go with Mobil 1 10w30 and a K&N or Motorcraft filter. Going to wait on the rear end until next service probably.

Got my Redline MTL yesterday, going to get her on a lift this week and change it out. I'm assuming it's like changing any other transmission fluid? Remove the fill plug, remove the drain plug and allow to drain until empty, replace the drain plug, add fluid into the fill plug until it starts to overflow slightly?

Close, but not quite. The fluid amount in the owner's manual is 2.7 quarts, 2.6 liters, and that's how much you put in - it's below the bottom of the fill plug. Put in too much and it will overflow out the vent if you drive it hard and the gearbox gets hot. Other than that, it's dead easy.

You need an 8mm allen wrench to get the drain/fill plugs out. The fill plug is on the side of the gearbox and there isn't quite enough room for a socket and ratchet, but there's plenty of space for a regular "L" shaped allen key.

Cool to easy. I was going to do it today on base at the auto craft shop, but this is the only base I've ever been to that requires a class to use their lifts so it won't happen until later this week now :/

Default R

Running Redline MT-90 in the 2014 GT and I like it, better than stock. Also ditched the 5-20 and went Redline 10w-30 since I do a bit of racing. Everything runs like a top....just be ready to make it a $125 oil change

For your diff I would use friction modifier. I used it when I swapped to 4.10s on my 2010 even with Royal Purple fluid. If you dont use it, and your gears get chatty, they tend to stay that way...

Got everything knocked out yesterday, minus the diff fluid. Went with Mobil 1 10W-30, Motorcraft filter, and Redline MTL. Definitely the easiest car to change the transmission fluid on...so easy to get to everything. Total cost for everything including buying a pump for the tranny fluid and the fee for using the shop on base was under $80. Can't beat a 5-quart jug of full synthetic oil for $20 each. Going to do the diff next time, probably with Redline, and may make the switch to Redline or Amsoil engine oil.

Default maitenance missed

Greasing the caliper slider pin is something that is often missed. Might save you a caliper down the road, when rotors need to changed. Often an un greased pin can difficult to remove or even brake during a rotor change or brake pad change.
