Custom muffler delete
So a few weeks ago I ripped off my mufflers just to see how it would sound. I ended up loving it, so I went to my local exhaust shop to have them fabricate a straight out exhaust. They wanted my mufflers to take the tips and the joint so that it could clamp right up with the rest of exhaust. I also talked to them about running 3" straight through and they mentioned it would provide no gains. It would essentially be a waste because the current system can already handle up to 600 or so hp.
My question being: he only put on a 2 1/4 " pipe for my axle back. Is this hindering the airflow?
Also, is it true that unless I went catless that my exhaust (all stock other than my muffler delete) there is not much more to gain to improve flow?
I'm actually extremly impressed that I have almost no drone whatsoever. Sounds great, wish it was a little bit louder even, and it has lots of pop and crackle on decelerating which I love.
Thanjs for the help!

small not noticable gain in performance with exhaust. its more of a sound thing. deleting the cats will make a difference but even that wont be huge. Unless you do the whole thing with long tubes I dont think youll "feel" it. But It gives the car a much better sound. X gives en exotic sound H gives a muscle sound. In all honesty other then Gears and good tires, and tuning on automatics ive never "felt" a difference when adding perfromance parts, the numbers do show on dynos though.

So there is really no sense in me doing 3" pipes if I am happy with the tone now? I am going to do long tubes and and probably be catless. Outside if that though, there isn't much to really do? At that point I will have to put on mufflers I am sure because it will be DAMN LOUD. Lol
