Default 5.0L CAI INSTALLATION WRITEUP

For most people this is pretty easy. I'm creating this writeup for those nontechnical types and people that didn't get instructions with their CAI.

Remove the engine cover by simply lifting up and removing.

STEP TWO

LOOSEN THE HOSE CLAMPS ON THE FACTORY INTAKE TUBE

Throttlebody

STEP THREE

USING A PAIR OF PLIERS DEPRESS THE HOSE LOCK TABS AND DISCONNECT THE RESONATOR TUBE FROM THE INTAKE TUBE


GENTLY DEPRESS THE HOSE LOCK TABS AND DISCONNECT THE CRANK CASE BREATHER LINE AND BRAKE ASPIRATOR LINE(AT ONLY)

AFTER ALL HOSES ARE REMOVED AND HOSE CLAMPS LOOSENED REMOVE THE INTAKE TUBE

STEP FIVE

DISCONNECT THE MAF SENSOR BY GENTLY PULLING OUT THE RED TAB AND REMOVING THE HARNESS



AND REMOVE THE AIRBOX COVER

LOOSEN THE AIRBOX RETENTION BOLT USING A 10MM SOCKET AND REMOVE THE RESONATOR TUBE STAND FROM THE BOX

INSTALL THE GROMMET AND POST FOR THE CRANK CASE BREATHER LINE AND THE BLANK (MT ONLY) OR GROMMET AND POST (AT ONLY) FOR THE BRAKE ASPIRATOR LINE

STEP NINE

REMOVE THE MAF BY USING THE TWO SCREWS USING A T-15 TORX BIT FROM THE STOCK AIBOX AND REINSTALL IT INTO THE AFTERMARKET AIR TUBE.
