Default PLEASE HELP!! HIGH PITCH NOISE DRIVING ME CRAZY

Hi guys, I'm new to the mustang world. I just bought a new 2014 Ford Mustang Gt. And love it but recently just driving it is driving me crazy. Traveling around 60mph-70mph in 5th or 6th gear I am hearing this high pitched noise sounds like when your ears are ringing. It sounds like an electrical noise but whether the radio is on or off or the A/C is on or off I still hear it and so does passengers. It is coming from the front drivers side. Sounds like fron dash. Any Help would be wonderful.

Also I hear a slight rattle pretty much all the time that I though was my seat belt. But when I push hard on the driver panel door it goes away. Any thoughts?

Just so we know what this noise sounds like, can you make a vid of yourself driving at freeway speeds and post it?

At that speed, it is probably light gear whine from the rear. This is more common if you have a steep rear gearset: 3.55 or 3.73.

Not much that you can do about it. This is still a budget sports car. You can dynamat the trunk floor to diminish it. Really bugging you? take it in to Ford and get a drive along with a tech and demonstrate the concern.

Possibly not it, but I have noticed a high pitch whine when the headlights are on sometimes. I usually noticed as I was getting out of the car at night with the headlights still on.

Alternator? I know you have a new car; but things can fail from the factory...

The door rattle might be a loose screw, there are 8-10 or so. Look at the audio thread and find the threads on speaker install to find the exact locations of the screws. Worst case you can take the door off and reinstall it and see if that fixes it.

If there is a high pitched ringing I would recommend you visit your dealer. You don't describe this to be a whine like many others have commented on.
