What sounds "better" to you may not sound "better" to others. Do what everyone else does and listen to tons of exhaust clips on YouTube and read around the forums. This has been constantly for years.

Loudest = Flowmaster Outlaws. With that though comes drone in the car. The Roush would be nearly as loud and won't drone.

As for what sounds best, that is different for every driver. Figure that out for yourself.

I had to remove my Roush mufflers because they were too loud when I went with a off road X pipe, if that tells you anything.

I'm in the same boat, almost. My car is stock except for the Roush axle backs, but they really are a bit loud for a convertible - especially under heavy throttle. Also, I don't like how raspy things get at high RPM times.

I liked mine just fine before I deleted the cats. Not a vert though.

Wanna trade for outlaws? lol. I think the interior noise would only be worse in a hardtop. I love the sound with the top down. With it up, not so much between 1800 - 2000 RPM.

The flowmaster is going to drone for sure. Even before I added the x-pipe, the outlaw axle back was seriously bad at drone. It's a great loud system and it's inexpensive, but I know most guys want to limit the drone as much as possible. I'd listen to youtube videos in there as well and see which one YOU think sounds the best, but there's an awful lot of selection, so PM me if you need any help with pricing and all that as well

I'm not too crazy about the outlaws on the Mustangs. They aren't bad, just not my cup of tea.

I'm really not sure where to go next with my exhaust. The quad Boss 302 would be epic, but I don't want to put that much money into the exhaust now.
