Brake caliper crunching noise
anytime I push the brake pedal, the driver side caliper makes a crunching noise. Even when the car is off sitting in my garage. Changed pads, rotors, and pins. Greased everything. Any ideas? I’ve been looking for an excuse to upgrade. Maybe this is it. |
I get something like that from the passenger side, when coming to a stop. The place
I got the car from, replaced the driver side lower control arm, and ball joint for "excessive play", and like idiots, didn't do the passenger side. You never, EVER replace that stuff in singles, you always do both sides. So, I would guess the passenger side one does have some play, because I can hear that noise coming to a stop. Doesn't do it when at idle and I press the brake, only when coming to a stop. So, I am gonna have to replace that side MYSELF... They did the work prior to sale, for inspection... I had an HHR, it only needed the passenger side lower control arm, but I did BOTH sides, because that's what you should do. Dealers should know better... STILL waiting for the proper gauge cluster, they finally called, so I can make an appointment to get that done. |
