Default 2013 5.0 slight ticking noise from passenger side

I’ve recently purchased a 2013 gt, it has 88000 miles, I’ve only had it about a week and have now noticed a slight ticking/clicking noise it’s only on the passenger side. But it’s not that loud under the hood you can barely hear it, but under the car you can hear it more. It’s a steady noise and it goes up with rpms. It dosnt do it all the time I’ve noticed it usually does it when it’s cold. Any help is appreciated

Tj920, try this before getting deeper into this "ticking noise." Simply changing your oil can also get rid of the tapping sound, as over time an engine that is neglected of maintenance will begin to clog up its oil filters, meaning that a build-up of grime can again lead to a lack of component lubrication. An oil additive can also be used to clean valves, rockers and tappets without affecting the viscosity of the oil, keeping the valvetrain in silent harmony.
The hundreds of parts interacting with each other within the valvetrain need to be properly lubricated to avoid any unwanted contact and noises. P.S., this is assuming the noise is related to cam to valve interaction.

Hay Tj, you'r gonna love this. According to “cidsamtuh”, the ticking noise happens after the car is warmed up, and the dealer was able to replicate the noise after
trying a few times. The dealer put a call into Ford, and as this dealership was located in Michigan, a Ford engineer came down to hear
the problem. When the engineer heard the ticking, which sounded like it was coming from the back or beneath the car, he immediately
told them to shut it down. He then grabbed a black, unmarked bottle, and poured a “shoe shine polish” like substance into the engine.
This oil additive allegedly contains graphite, which helps some internal components in the engine seat better (though they likely would
have seated over time anyway).

After letting the car idle with the additive in it, the noise was gone. Cidsamuth’s Mustang now has 3,200 miles on it and the ticking
has not returned. Ain’t technology grand?

You just copied and pasted that from somewhere else...

I have that exact statement in QUOTES in another thread here, on the same subject.

thanks! I’ll deffinetly try changing the oil and filter and get an additive before I go any deeper I hope that fixes the issue.

08'MustangDude, you are absolutely right. I cut and pasted it. But I gave the credit to "cidsamthu" because he made the original post. Help is help and I don't care where it comes from. Sorry if I offended you.
