Default 2014 Mustang GT New tire suggestions

Hey guys! I have a 2014 Manual GT Looking to get a new set of tires soon and just wanted to hear your suggestions and what tires you are running. I have stock 18" rims and currently have 235/50 ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. I want to get a wider tire for the look and a little more traction. I want to keep the stock rims as well. What do you guys propose?

I'm pretty sure your wheels are only 8" wide, which limits you to either 245/45-18 or 255/45-18. With those 45-series sizes, you'll gain some actual tread width on the ground but the sidewall won't look too much different. For more traction, consider Michelins in either Pilot Super Sport or Pilot Sport 4S (in those same sizes). They're "summer tires", but that does not mean you're sacrificing wet grip. Cold weather grip with those probably isn't as good as the A/S 3+, if that matters to you.

MPSS in 285/35-18 on 18x11 in the pouring rain.

nflagg11, on my 2014 GT Premium, I am presently running Michelin Pilot Super Sports, 285/40R, 10 inch rims, and they are the best legimite, real deal street tires ,for street use, I have ever used. Norm is right about their street behavior. I have dumped many jokers who thought they could beat me because the road was wet, and thought I would lose traction. Never happen, even to my surprise, the Michelin's held traction superbly until I got into third gear and was able to put the "pedal to the metal." I even tried the Michelin's at the local drag strip. I dropped the tire pressure to 28 psi, and only lost two tenths of a second to the NITTO NT05s. I am going to get a pair of Continental SportContact 6 shoes and see what their street behavior is.
