I'm new to Mustangs as I just bought a 2014 Mustang GT Convertible as a project car. Issue I'm having is several of the interior panels are scuffed and scratched very badly from the previous owner. Several of these parts I plan to just replace buying some new OEM's. I however have little experience with Fords or Mustangs and really don't have much idea how a lot of these interior panels and trims are removed and I'm afraid of breaking something that doesn't need replaced. I've googled and youtubed several of the areas I need to replace and can not seem to find any guides or much information. I hate to take it to some Ford dealer as it seems more charge $100+/hr. at 30 minutes increments. I'd rather do these upgrades myself, Does anyone here know if there is some sort of guide or manual that can be found online or even purchased that would show how to disassemble the various interior panels and trim pieces? I'd appreciate any advice on this.
They pull out, like most other panels. They're in with the plastic tips with
metal tabs for the receiving slots. Sill plates, sill trim, kick panels, "A" pillar,
all that, pulls off with those tabs. Sill plates may also have 3M double sided
tape on those, mine did, you will need to redo that before snapping them back
down.
Most of these also have plastic guide dowels for alignment, when mating up to
another piece.
The deck trim piece has push in fasteners behind the seats, but the side panels
also need to be popped off.
Dash trim, pops off too... Different clips than the other trim panels.
Doors, hex screws all around, then it lifts up, and off...
Radio bezel, sides pull off when the console piece is removed.
The radio bezel has six hex screws. You need to unplug the HVAC controls, the
12V port, and plugs to the upper left and right buttons.
Console, pop the shiftger bezel off, and then there are two screws at the back, under the arm rest,
then pull the ER brake handle up, and pull the console piece up, and slide up over and off the ER brake
handle and off. The ER handle has to be up high enough.
DASH PIECE EXAMPLE:
With the others, the tabs on the trim pieces are plastic, but they have the
metal clips over them:
If they break, then you lose the fastener... SO, when you pull them off, pull straight on them,
and try not to wiggle or angle too much as to not break them off. Sometimes, the panel will
come off, the metal clips will stay in the slot, but the plastic tab is fine. You only need take
the metal clip out of the slot and slide it back on the plastic tab.

Awesome, Thanks. Let me ask you this, A few other areas on this car. It's a convertible and the panel pieces that are around the window frame, ie. the sunvisor area and light/head console. Some areas of this need to be replaced, Do these just "pull off" also? Another area is around the steering column itself and the shrouds around the column. For some reason the top panel is badly sun faded and the shroud around the ignition looks as off someone decided to use the key and carve out pictures. I'm also replacing both those pieces. I have found how to remove the steering wheel on you tube, But have not found of those come off. Do you have any insight on those?
Sun-visors are bolted on. If lighted mirrors, there will be plugs to unplug.
The coupe ones do not fit in the Vert, so you will need Vert ones for replacing
those, if you are. Once the visor assemblies are off, the plastic trim will
pull off like the rest of them.
Steering Column Shroud is two pieces, should be screws on the bottom half. Take
those out and pull the pieces off. Steering wheel does not have to come off.
Upper map-light assembly, pull downward on in from the front part facing the
windshield, and it snaps off. You have to do this to replace the bulbs in it,
this should be in your owners manual.

Must help, Thanks! Do you happen to know if the automatic shift **** just screws off? I'm replacing that as well as the current one is torn up.
The shift "T" handle has one torx screw that holds it on, and a 2-pin wire harness that needs
unplugged for the O/D button. I have popped mine off, but never unplugged it. There will
be tension on it due to the thumb release button, so when you put it back on, you will
just hold it down and line up the hole for the screw after plugging it back in.
