Spec stage 3 clutch on stock car
#4
I had an HHR with a hydraulic clutch, and someone put in a stage 2 or whatever, pressure plate.
The clutch was stiff, but I didn't know that till I had a new clutch kit put in, FACTORY, and the
pedal was twice as easy to push. There was no air in the line prior, I had it bled because it
was stiffer than I thought it should be. Well, once I saw the old kit that came out, I saw the
beefier pressure plate immediately. The guy across the street from me put a stage 3 kit in
his Cobalt, which uses the same motor and transmission as the HHR. His pedal was so stiff
after, the pedal assembly went through the floor... Yeah, it was rusted, and already bad,
but had he went factory, that would not have happened. So, he had it all welded up to "work"
then hurried up and sold it...
