Default 2000 Ford Mustang low pinging noise

sup everyone i have a 2000 V6 with approx 109k on it runs fine but since about 2 months ago i've noticed a low pinging/rattling noise when i lightly press the gas when the car is warm. its almost impossible to hear it when the car is cold, but the warmer it gets, the louder it gets. it's coming from directly in front of/under the drivers dash and firewall. sounds like somethings loose? it sort of sounds like 2 wet metal rods rubbing and banging against each other very softly. it's really annoying. i don't beat on my car at all, i take very good care of it. so i don't know why it would be making this weird noise. thanks in advance.

You can buy better gas, but I'm curious as to what is causing it in the first place...

Wish I could help.

I've got this issue too, no matter what gas I buy. I have done the in line filter mod and seafoamed it at the same time. I'm thinking it's pinging...

it's the valve covers, the early new edges have bad oil baffles that suck up a little bit of oil and cause a pinging sound.

New PCV valve
$2 fix from advanced auto parts, try it and see worked for me when I had the issue...only $2 doesn't hurt to try! PLUS takes less then 1 MINUTE to replace, NO LIE!

Kinda looks like this but a little different!

Also this is kinda where it goes, if peeps at advanced can't show you ask me and I'll make a quick vid or somthing for you!

for real that's it? that's weird, it really sounds like it's coming from the drivers side like directly in front of the dash.

my stang does the same noise i believe. it had like a rattling noise underneath the car towards the drivers side. i checked it out and it seems like theirs a clamp on the muffler directly under the driver, and thats whats doing all the rattling. i guess its some sort of protector.
