At the behest of a fellow forum bud, he suggested I post some pics here of what I did to my rear ****...

May not be what you're after, but it gives you an idea of how the car looks without the rear GT emblem -- and a classic tribar Pony emblem in its place.

The emblem was originally for a '05-'09 fender, so I had to use a heat gun to shape it to the concave sloped decklid. PITA to get it right. (The metal/paint work was professionally done, BTW.)

That looks great much nicer than the fake fuel cap. If I remember correctly the metal there has a bump and you say "The metal/paint work was professionally done" I take it to remove the bump right?

Hey 908,

I'm really diggin the plate mod. Did you do the paint on your CDC plate yourself? My 2010gt is black and i'd like to keep the orignal plate, but i dont want it to look plastic. So do you know if i could paint it in such a way as to make it look like the rest of the car, like yours. what can I do?

Lookin' good! And how cool it is that you don't need a plate!

I think you'll be happy with the combo. I know I am.

The only concern I have with the CDC panel is that it's not really black. So can someone who has it let me know how it is IN PERSON? In the pictures, I think it's probably due to the lighting but it looks slightly lighter than the ABS plastic material

It's matte/flat black. Same look as the lower valance on the 10/11's...Maybe even a tad darker actually.

Mine was waiting for me when I got home last night, along with my spoiler I haven't had a chance to even look at the spoiler, but I did pop open the decklid panel and look at it, and it definitely is black. I think its much better looking than the factory piece. It matches the cars plastic parts pretty well. I'll be popping that spoiler open when I get home to check it out. My schedules been retarded lately. Hopefully it wont't be too long 'til I can get them put on!
