Default Poor idle & oil in radiator - Heads? [pics]

This baby still ran pretty strong on the highway, but the idle was loping and I had to step on the gas to get it started.

The oil in the block looked ok, but the inside of the radiator looked like a foamy chocolate milkshake.

I checked the compression. Most cylinders were at about 170, but one was at 130... and the one next to it was at 150... so I figured it was the head gasket.

So I got the heads off, but I don't see any signs of a leak on the gasket.
Now I'm starting to wonder is there's a crack somewhere, because the gaskets look like they were ok.

This first picture is the passenger side (block), it was ugly when I first opened it, but the water in the cylinder is what leaked out of the head when I lifted it.
[The rear cylinder is the one that was at 150 during the compression test, with 130 next to it]

The guy at our local machine shop said this is a tough one. It could be one of several things, including a cracked block.. I hope that's not it...

When I was googling "oil in the radiator", I heard about the gasket at the oil filter, but those posts always said that the car ran fine.

Before doing all this, we tried changing the radiator to rule out the trans cooler, but the new radiator immediately filled up with foamy chocolate milkshake again.
-In the hope that it was just residue, we flushed it and tried again.. same thing again...

So now I'm stuck. I hoped I would've found a definitive problem by now, but I still don't see anything.

The heads are at the machine shop now. I almost 'hope' that they'll find a crack. At least then I'll know what's wrong... but I don't want to put it back together and still have the same problem. ... If anyone has some tips or info, or even just stories, it would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks,

Jim
