Default For Shane

Hey Shane sorry I couldnt get the pics to work in a PM. But I hope the pictures will help a little bit. They are kinda hard to tell. But I would try to buff them out like a cloudy headlight except for the hazing seems to be on the inside (disregard the water spots the car is just dirty :P )

Also I'm attaching a picture of something I got with my order today. I ordered the chrome gauge ring bezels for the new edge and i received those, but this black contraption was in the box as well lol. It looks like a dimmer or control or something. Do you have any idea what this is? I called yall just to make sure it wasnt a part of someone else's order and thankfully it wasnt

Mobiusone stang,

Hey man, thanks for sending over pictures! It's a lot easier to see what you mean about the tail lights. Buffing doesn't make too much sense if the milky/foggy part is on the inside!

I'm assuming they got this way from moisture getting inside somehow over the years. Unfortunately, I don't have any tips for you other than attempting to disassemble the lens and buff it. However, since you've been a very active MF member over the last year and seem to always provide your input to help other members when possible, I wouldn't mind helping you out with a new set. Even though these Raxiom tail lights are well past their warranty.

Send me another PM with your Last name and shipping address. I'll ship you out a free set this evening!

Lastly, I'm actually not sure what extra harness you received with your package. It doesn't look too familiar to me, but it's also a little hard to see the connections in the pictures. Especially of what looks to be a switch? Can you provide a closer shot of that for me?

Shane

Shane,

I am almost speechless. You really don't have to do this for me just because I help others on the forums. I never expect anything from it just the satisfaction of helping and being helped To tell you the truth I was just seeing if I could pop them in the dishwasher or something to get rid of the haze (trust me its barely even a problem compared to the rest of the car lol)

Also, for this weird contraption, I figured it might be a control module of some sorts. It has screw holes on the device that makes me think that. Also I'm not sure how the pictures came out, but the button looking device actually screws both up and down. Since it was in the Strack racing box, I figured it might be some device for a reverse glow gauge or something since that is what they do.

Andrew,

Don't worry, it's my pleasure to help you out! We're lucky to have you as a customer. Just continue being active of MF and help the forum grow!

Your order has already shipped today too. Here's the tracking number via UPS- 1Z384T0T0346310104 and the order number is 3215199. You won't receive emails for the shipping and order confirmation because it was placed under my department's name.

On another note- I think you're right about a dimmer switch. I'm just not sure what exactly it's from. It doesn't look to be anything we carry at the moment?

Shane

Again thank you so much. You've probably left me speechless for the next week or so!

And regarding the dimmer, that's good news. I called and I think I talked with Jim (im bad with names) yesterday and he agreed as well that it wasn't a part of anything. I just wanted to make sure I hit all the areas I could in case it was a part of something. I didnt want anyone to get half their product!

You're very welcome! Again, I'm glad to help you out.

You'll have to post up a few pics of your Mustang once the Raxiom tail lights are installed. I believe they're expected to arrive this upcoming Tuesday!
