engine swap

Is it worth the time and money to drop a 4.6L in place of my 3.8L or should I just look to buy a GT

Depends on the year and condition of your car. Unless the body is straight, clean, and in immaculate condition don't do it. Just look for a GT. With the amount of money that you're willing to spend crossing things over from a 3.8 to a 4.6 you could buy a GT. If you look enough, you could find a '96 GT for around $3,500 - $4,000. And use the money from selling your 3.8 to do a PI swap.

Hi, if you do decide to do the swap, let me know as I have a Brand NEW and Ultra COMPLETE '02 GT 4.6 crate motor for sale.

Want to do something different? I've got a 6.8L V10 that'll go in there just as easy as any 4.6, and I've already done all the homework for the swap. Unfortunately, I got a job offer that requires me to move, and i can't really take the project along. If you're interested, look at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/818110 and check out the motor. I've got wiring harness and computer from the same vehicle, so it's just a matter of accessories, headers, and k member (supposed to fit 4.6 mounts, but I haven't measured myself). You can contact me with questions, or check out www.bv10motors.com for the proof that it's do-able.

I have a 98 4.6 that just needs a crank kit to go in. Let me know. Thanks
