Interferance sound
I was switching out my amp with a friends amp. I had everything switch over in his car but the subs wouldnt work. I tried everything to make them go but it wouldnt happen so I put his amp back in. I was tightening the power wire to the amp when I kinda touched the metal on the amp and a spark flew. After that the rear speakers make a humming sound whenever the power wire touches where it should be connected. It only happens when its connected and the amp is on. What would cause this?
Also the subs keep cutting in and out but only when you fiddle with the wire. I am going to get a connector tomorrow to see if this fixes it, its just bare wire right now.
Friends car is a 04 Grand Am GT. Aftermarket HU and 6x9's, Kicker I believe.

Few things possible..
Shorted the amplifier out
or back fed the amp thru the rca wich then blew the rca out put in the radio.
Unplug rcas from amp and turn it on see if the noise is still there if so then you shorted the amp out.
If not then you possibly blew the rcas on the radio,, Any chance the radio is a pioneer if so you can fix it easy
