Here's More I still have to make a custom door pod to hold the 6 1/2 midbass that will complement the 4" midbass and tweeter

Am I correct in saying you have removed the 6x8 speakers from the rear deck?

Interesting idea, I never would have thought of that.

Let us know how it sounds.

Yea, i removed the 6x8's in the back also and replaced them with a 6 1/2, once its all together it should sound pretty nice, were going to have to take a little out of that back of the boxes to make the volume better right now its closer to 2 Cubic Feet when it should be around 1 for the best sound.

As for how i did this, i just started taping all around the two edges of the back trunk until it was all covered with tape, then just started putting layers of fiber glass on the tape and made my mold that way. As for the front of the box i made a couple of baffle rings that the sub could sink down into to look flush and connected the mold and baffle rings together. Then i began the long process of putting more fiberglass down and finished it off with some bondo to give a smooth look and added some carpet to match everything.

you can add wood to the inside of the enclosure to take up space....... Of course make sure it is mounted to keep it from rattling.
