Winning noise in the Radio
I have the Mach 1000 audio system in my Gt Convertable 03 it has two 12" in the trunk. The problem I am having is that no matter if I use the FM/AM radio or CD changer there is a winning noise that fallows the rpm of the motor. How do I get rid of this

The most common reason for the whining is aground isolation problem. You need to check the grounds for your amps. Make sure that they are as short as possible andthat they are well secured to bare metal.

I also have this problem but my system is only a 460. Where would my problem lye. And how would i fix it? I have a 2002 convert. and it annoys the hell out of me when i hear that noise. Any help would be appreciated.

Anything you have that is aftermarket, check the grounds to the chassis. They should be no more than 2 ohms. Less than an ohm is best. If you have checked all grounds and it is still doing it, your battery could have lost its filtering effect, or a blown diode in your alternator could cause this.
