Adding 8" subs to doors WITHOUT mach system?
Good Morning!
I recently decided to upgrade the sad little 4 speaker stock stereo in my 2009 mustang. I replaced the head unit and the 4 speakers, added an amp and a 10" sub in the back. I'm finding that the sub is handling the low frequencies well but I need a little more oomph up front, mainly when listening to music with good bass guitar. My question is...how much of a pain would it be to add a set of 8" woofers to the doors? I know its quite simple if you have a mach system but remember this car only had the stock 4 speaker system. Do the insides of the doors have the needed framework to mount a sub? Would this project be more of a hassle than what it is worth? I understand I would have to alter my existing door panels, that is not an issue. Thank you for any ideas or opinions. |
not worth it, u would need new door panels. imo sound deaden ur doors, and get an amp for ur door speakers
