Looking at the AVH-P3200

Looking at the AVH-P3200
well, i've just about had it with my shaker 1000 headunit. it skips while playing songs, it skips songs completely, it makes weird clicking noises when moving the cd tray (or whatever moves the discs around ), and i even think it is the cause for my battery dying all the time.
so, i've been considering replacing it with pioneer's avh-p3200.
it has everything i'm looking for, especially the sd slot, and at a pretty good price. plus, if i want to upgrade to nav, sat, hd radio, etc., it has adapters that will let you do that. it's a fairly new unit, but i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it.
also, what kind of connectors would be required to hook it up; i haven't ever installed a stereo myself, but i don't doubt my ability to . from what i've found, this adapter should work:
http://www.amazon.com/C2R-FRD1-Radio.../dp/B0015ASMIQ
but i was also curious if there is an adapter or other installation method that would work just as good.
second also, if anyone knows of a decent double-din receiver which has an sd slot (for a reasonable price), i'd like to know about that too, please and thank you

Hard to go wrong with Pioneer head units. I have no experience with that one but it looks alot like my nav that I'm putting in now minus the nav/bluetooth/voice.

Also it looks like you'd be getting it $100 cheaper through amazon..., Pioneer lists it's price at $499.00 http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rs/AVH-P3200BT
I'd say grab it personally. As far as the harness/interface, as long as thats for the correct year you should be good, but not having installed on a factory amp myself before I can't say for sure what all it takes... Either way, the head unit- definitely worth it.

if i get one, it'll definitely be through amazon. the one i'm looking at, though doesn't have bluetooth, so i can pic it up even cheaper (~320 at amazon last i checked)... which is a good thing

i know i'm digging up my old thread, but i (finally) went ahead and got the head unit i was talking about ($260 brand spanking new on amazon... can't beat that ). anyway, i was wondering for anyone who may have experience with this, or any other sd based head units, what capacity memory card it will take. i've seen anywhere from 8gb, 16gb, and even a vid showing that a 32gb will work.
so, just curious if anyone knows

I've had a Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD for a couple of months now and I love it. I use a 8GB class 6 SD card in mine and haven't had any issues.
BTW, If you use the PAC harness you should see this thread for the addition of a diode to keep the HU from re booting.. https://mustangforums.com/forum/audi...ss-help-2.html

I love mine as well. I juts picked it up this summer. My only issues are the audio and video don't sync properly on most AVI files I have playing on SD/USB/DVD, but the regular movies on DVDs work fine.
As far as capacity, the largest I've tried is 8gb. Are any of you guys having the same issues with AVI files?
