Need Clarification for 2000 vert premium sound system install
This is NOT a Mach460 system. It is the standard (premium I guess?) system that incorporated the Radio/Cassette player on top, and the CD Player below it. I understand it does have a factory amplifier below the CD Player.
I am NOT going to be adding any external amplifiers or Subs to the car. I just want to add an aftermarket Pioneer single din that will integrate with what is in the car to produce sound. Interesting concept huh?
wraitherx was helping me but havent been able to get ahold of him for days, hence this post.
I understand that the MACH460 system, if you JUST changed the speakers out, the speakers wouldnt function how you'd want them too. I think you'd only hear bass. My question: Would this be the same with the type of system in this car? Or can I just go ahead and change the speakers out, slap on a wiring harness, and be good to go?
Wire Harness issue: Which one! I literally have found so many different styles of harnesses, I dont even know which one I need, since this is for my friend's mustang, and taking the car apart ahead of time is not an option for me to look at the backside of the stock headunits
I'm leaning towards the Metra 70-5510 or Metra 70-5511. I believe they are pretty much both the same, just with one you can easily plug and play and the other not. Correct?
wraitherx recommended this harness, but I think this is the bypass harness, but im not going to be adding another amp. Can someone please confirm this too. Thanks

Thanks for any help you guys can give.
