Sound like a decent plan?
Sorry if this has been answered before, I searched and couldn't find anything....
I have a 2007, with a Shaker 500 and I want to keep this audio upgrade simple. My plan was to put a pair of 6'5 components int he doors, and put in the Kicker 8" subs in the doors as well. I was thinking of running them all of it off a 4 channel amp and just not even hooking up the rear speakers. I've had no rear speakers in cars before but I also had subs in the trunk with those setups. So is having all my speakers just in the doors going to be a decent sounding setup?

the problem with putting two speakers that size in the door is that on speaker will be so close to you that it would be blairing out over the other speakers. It would also probably be back far enough that it would be blocked by the seat or anyones leg that was in the car. Look into putting the 6s in the kick panels if you want everything to come up front. Kicks give great imaging(assuming there are no legs in the way) but are not the cheapest option.
