Footwell Led's help
 

I have been looking around for a while and can't get a good answer for my questions. I'm trying to hook up some led to either the headlights or the cigarette lighter. But I think I may have blown something in my cig lighter because when testing the lights on the adapter that plugs into the cig lighter I switched the switch that was connected to the led's. After that I'm not getting any power from the cig lighter. So I'll skip that as my power source. My other option is to connect it to the auto shifter lights on the shifter because that will work with the headlights. Any help to fix my cig lighter and hooking up the led's is greatly appreciated.
