I searched but couldn't find all the info I needed so I decided to ask for your opinions.


What I have:

2007 Mustang with Shaker500 system
Scosche FD5000 Interface
12" Kenwood Sub, box, and amp

What I want:

Kenwood DDX24BT (will add back up camera later) has 3 sets of rca outputs. Or, I might go with a JVC head unit.

Which double din mount is better to use, Metra or Scosche?

What line out to rca converter do you recommend for tapping the rear speakers for the sub?

Plans:

Install head unit using Scosche FD5000 interface so I can keep the current shaker system. Add the 12" sub, box, and amp and locate it in the trunk.

I think I need to pick up a voltage regulator to eliminate the amp pop at switch on.

Am I missing something or does this look doable?

Reviving an old thread, but I also want to swap out the Shaker500 with an aftermarket.

UAA1 Antenna Adapter

I saw some pictures of the FD5000, and it doesn't look like it has everything
I need for the three factory plugs. I only see the one long rectangular one, of the
three.

For a perfect Double Din install, what is all needed?
