hey what's going on. I want to apologize if this is in duplicate or triplicate of another form but I'm new here and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I just bought my first Mustang, 2016 GT, and with the Shaker system. Not the pro. And like others have said on he the sound quality is subpar.

I can't find a pre fit box for convertible, everything I keep finding is for the coupe, . I really don't want to drop another $4, 000 in a complete overhaul of the system. So any tips or advice and how to increase the quality over all of the system would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to shake my neighbors house, but I would like the sound to be more full sounding. Thanks so much for your time

The Shaker system is a little difficult and very complicated to attach after market items to it. The easier thing to do is to replace everything. I know it sounds not Financial and Difficult, but shop long and smart and you can get it done. I believe the Shaker System was designed to be a "Stand Alone" system cause it's not a "Play well with others" system.

You can use the Shaker trunk sub enclosure, just wire your own Amp up to it.

The trunk sub box should be the same for either the coupe or Vert.


You will need to use the FRONT speaker leads for an aftermarket amp to power the
subs. Or, if you have the door subs, tap those to run back to an amp, then to the
enclosure.
