sub-enclosures for an'05

Hi all, I hope everyone is enjoying owning a mustang as much as I am. I bought my '05 in march of '05 whille on R&R from fighting the war in Iraq, I thought that I finally deserved a brand new car. I had to wait 8 months to finally come home and drive it. My mustang is Black on Black with no stickers, decals, or emblems anywhere on the car. It has the Shaker 500 sound system in it which, I guess that I am lucky, but I have had no problems with. The only complaint is that there is very little bottom end to the music. To cure this, I have a 1600 watt mono amp that I would like to install which leads to the questions that I have. #1. I lost the high level input plug to my amp. I e-mailed the manufacture to see if I can get a replacement but I don't expect to be able to because the amp is at least 1 and a half years old, which leads to splicing into the rear speaker wires for a RCA line converter. is this a good idea? I have learned that the rear speakers are only getting a low freq signal from the HU/Amps that power them which seems to not be a problem for me because I only want a Bass/Lower freq signal anyway....True/False? #2. Someone was discussing making a fiberglass box for their sub...My idea is to make a fiberglass box that fits into each side of the trunk and house 1, 10 inch DVC sub in each. Good idea? #3. I have built boxes in the past outof 3/4 inch MDF, which to me sounded great, but have never thought about building one out of fiberglass. How thick should it be to get the proper sound? Do you have to line it with anything? Dynomat? #4. should I make it a sealed enclosure or ported? I go more for quality of the sound not volume, don't get me wrong I love it loud but the sound has to be extremly clean. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....And YES it was worth the wait.....brings a smile to my face everytime I fire it up.
