that price is a little stiip i dont really wanna spend more than 500 bux and this is the first time i have ever bought a decent set of tires and by tthe way the 17 inch bullits are going to be put on a 2000 v6 mustang so i really dont think ill be able to turn a 275 rear meat very easily with a stock motor

if you get 275s ur totally wasting ur money. You dont need that kind of tire for a V6. Not to mention, the thicker the tire the worse the handling is going to feel in corners and stuff. You will get a lot of tire flex due to there being a lot of sidewall in the tire. Id get the regular 245 size. Its not like you need the extra thickness for traction when trying to accelerate on the V6. It is your car though, do whatever you want, thats just my 2 cents. Come summer I am putting 255 in the rear and not going any thicker.

If you are really curious about tires, ask your mechanic or go to like, a town fair tire. Ive found town fair tire to be pretty knowledgable and fair in pricing(at least where I live). They found me 4 decent tires for my 5.0 for like 89 for each front(225 width) and 119 for each rear(245 width). As far as your 500 limit youre most likely gonna spend more. After tire mounting, old tire disposal fee, balance, and possibly alignment....(although some places do this for free when you buy tires)...Even at 89/119 a tire, i spent around 600 when all was said and done(i did buy a warranty). Welcome to the wonderful world of tires!
