I love the parkway as well, but truth be known... some of the best roads I've ever driven, were the roads down off of the parkway towards the towns below.

I REALLY miss having access to so many awesome roads!!! However, the job market is 20 times better around here.

Yea i think a lot of people would buy it IF they just had the money, and yea me and my dad go cruising the parkway all the time, there are a lot of awesome roads around here, Have you guys ever heard of the Annual Pony Run Hosted by the Blue Ridge Mustang Club of Asheville? Its a two day event i think Saturday is the car show and Sunday is the Pony Run (400+ Mustangs cruising the Parkway) I have gone four times and every time its been a blast! Here is a link to the wedsite, go check it out.

I've never been able to bring the Mustang up there, but back when I had my Jeep I drove all around there (not as fun in the twisties, but no top + no doors was a blast anyway)

I hear ya! My wife and I often take her Miata down there. No top, very agile in the corners and excellent brakes. Luckily, she doesn't mind too much if i push it thru the corners pretty hard.
