In Burbank, Al's Automotive Care on 4008 W. Burbank Bl. (818)954-0058. I've been using him for over 20 years. He's old school, trustworthy, and stands behind his work.
In Van Nuys, there's a Mustang specific shop called BD Racing 14804 Calvert St. 91411 (818) 781-7474. A friend has his tranny repaired there on his Fox body and was happy with their work. I haven't used them yet but talked to Brian there - he seemed pretty knowledgeable re upgrading suspensions.

Has anyone tried Hillbank Motorsports in Irvine? I am thinking about a supercharger install and came across these guys http://www.hillbankusa.com/
I bought my Baer brakes from them at a decent price. They didn't do my install but did my friend's Watt's link.
They have their own dedicated track car and sell Cobras to boot. Not a small operation but friendly folk.
