Well,

You guys may call me Cass. It is short for my last name. I will be moving to the Eureka, Arcata, Mckinleyville area within a few month and I intend on bringing my new edge GT over. The wife is already there as she is stationed at the Humboldt Bay Air Station.

Any suggestions on meets/shops to know about?

Some times life and work get in the way of fun. Best way to plan a meet or cruz is to plan something you would have fun doing by yourself, that way if nobody shows up you still have a good time, and it's not so much of a let down.

I think the big issue is proper planning... I've been putting together a group of cars weekly that meet in Camarillo, and I'm always up at the lookout on Mullholland on Wed, Fri, and Sat night...

The word needs to get around that a regular thing is going on, otherwise it's pointless to even try the one-off events...

Just my $0.02 -- though I don't Roll Call is the right thread to be having this discussion.
