Oct. 12-13, 2013 Mojave Magnum/Mile

Well, event has passed. I didn't get to the speed I wanted as I had a few issues over the weekend, but did get a 179.2mph in the mile on a shakedown run w/low boost.
In line, waiting to head out.
video of that shakedown run is here:
and then here are some photos of some of the other cars participation over the weekend...
Overall, lot's of fun.

Awesome video, I can only go that fast in my dreams i wish I could of made it out there to see it live. I see you got a new hood after someone hit your car looks great, how many runs did you get to do and what do think stop you from hitting that 200 mark. Nice run either way and glad to see you made there after your car was hit.

I only did 4 runs the over both days, Saturday was packed but could have gotten a third run in, Sunday people were doing 6-7 runs or more. Too many air traffic interruptions on Saturday.
My normal street tune is for 16psi, the run above was at 13psi. I had loaded the race tune and wasn't comfortable with it, maybe paranoia on my part but it just didn't feel right, so that's when I switched back to the street tune and turned the boost way down. I bumped it up to 16psi for the run immediately after the one in the video, but a coupling on the intake pipe blew loose near the top of 5th and I lost all boost That would have probably been a 185-190, as I was already doing 180ish before the 3/4 mark, but I ended up coasting through the finish at 153... I didn't know what happened at the time, so I called the weekend there and just watched the other cars do their thing. Car is still good, drove it the 300ish miles home naturally aspirated and will be getting a fix so that coupling never blows apart again. But getting within a hair of 180 on only 13psi and probably about 600-630RWHP leaves me optimistic about what can happen with 22psi & 900RWHP. Traction is going to be the key.
And I only got the car from the body shop about Tuesday at 5pm... it was close.

Well it seems like you had good o' time, but I bet your pretty bummed about not getting that 200mph. I'am sure you'll get it next year did you see how fast that black/sliver Ford GT got up too just wondering.
