Unhappy Free to good home 1989 Anniversary Edition Mustang

FOR RESTORATION ONLY!!!! YOU HAVE TO PROMISE ME THAT IT WILL NOT BE PARTED OUT!

We live in Red Bluff. The car runs but needs a very expensive transmission.
After much ado with my husband I have decided to give it up.
It needs to go live with someone who will love it not just sitting in my driveway under a cover.

It was one of the anniversary editions built in 89. It has the anniversary logo.

I can't do more right now but I will post videos and photos of the car. Warts and all. I am starting to cry.

Bought new tires right before the transmission went out.

The only thing you pay is transfer fees, and a promise it will be restored. It is non-operational. It is currently registered in Texas. The title will have to be transferred.

Only 6 miles on it when I bought it.
Gas hog...family joke is "gallons to the mile".

Always wanted a clean Fox, too bad we're practically at opposite ends of the state and I don't have the means to transport a car that far.

A rebuilt AOD shouldn't be all that expensive, no?

Anyway, best of luck finding a good home for your car. I know how ya feel, it's almost like giving away the family dog.

....And if no other suitable takers pan out, hit me up via PM and maybe if there's a will then there will also be a way.

wishing this was closer...It has been my life long goal to rebuild a car from top to bottom and I just started seriously looking for project cars. As a recent grad, I doubt I could afford to trailer it here. Good luck!

I am actually looking to get a fox body and make it my first project car. I want to learn about cars and a mustang would be an awesome car, and the finished product will be great. 89 Mustang GT is what I have my mind set on. MAF, wheel tilt, etc. I originally thought 92 but those are so hard to find and the 89 has wheel tilt so and MAF among other stuff. Anyways, would love to talk more if possible.
